Eligibility Criteria to Join Pak Air Force
General Requirements
- Nationality: Male citizens of Pakistan only.
- Medical: Physically fit with a minimum height of 5’4″ (163 cm).
- Mandatory: Must possess a valid NADRA Smart Card.
- Vision: 6/6 each eye (without glasses) specifically for GD Pilot candidates.
Permanent Commission (PC)
- Target:Sc / ‘A’ Level / DAE students.
- Age: 16 to 22 years (on Oct 15, 2026).
- Marital Status: Unmarried only.
- Education: Minimum 65% marks in aggregate.
- Branches: GD Pilot, Aeronautical Engineering, Air Defence, Admin, and Logistics.
Short Service Commission (SSC/SPSSC)
- Target: Graduates and Professionals (BS, BE, MS, M.Phil).
- Age: 20 to 26 years (up to 29 years for Education Branch).
- Marital Status: Both Married and Unmarried can apply.
- Education: Minimum 60%–65% marks or 5–2.7 CGPA.
- Branches: Engineering, Education, Accounts, MET, and Islamiat.
Ineligibility (Automatic Rejection)
- Twice rejected or screened out by ISSB.
- Permanently declared medically unfit by the Appeal Medical Board.
- Dismissed from any government or armed forces service.
- Convicted of a criminal offense or providing false academic data.
Physical Standards for PAF Jobs 2026
To qualify for the Pakistan Air Force, candidates must meet a minimum height of 5’4″ (163 cm) and pass a rigorous fitness evaluation. The test includes a 1.6 KM run, which must be completed in 8 minutes for Permanent Commission (PC) or 9 minutes for Short Service Commission (SSC). Additionally, candidates must perform timed sets of push-ups (10–15), sit-ups (10–20), and chin-ups (2–3) to prove their physical strength. Meeting these standards is a mandatory prerequisite for moving forward to the medical examination and the ISSB interview.
